WELCOME

The Children’s Interactive Diary (CID) is built to make every day feel like an adventure your child can safely enjoy from home. Here’s exactly how it works, step by step:

Getting started with CID is quick and simple. As a parent, you create a secure account using just your details. From there you can choose the subscription plan that suits your family best.

Only adults can register — children never enter personal or payment information. This means you stay fully in control from the very beginning.

Once your account is set up, you’ll receive a welcome email with everything you need:

  • Your secure login details

  • A guide to help your child get started

  • Tips on how to make the most of the diary each day

We’ve kept the process as straightforward as possible so you can go from sign-up to your child’s very first diary page in just a couple of minutes. No long forms, no tricky tech, and no hidden extras.

CID is designed for families, so we’ve made sure the subscription covers the whole household — if you have more than one child in the age range (8–12), they can all join in under your single account.

Each day brings a new themed diary page. Your child can:

  • Write freely in the “Dear Diary” section

  • Explore fun facts about history, science, or the wider world

This daily rhythm encourages healthy habits — reading, writing, curiosity, and reflection.

Weekly Treasure Hunt

Every day, your child unlocks a new riddle, fact, or clue. Each one builds towards the Friday Challenge — the big puzzle of the week. Solve it correctly and your child’s name goes straight into our £20 weekly prize draw.

The Monthly Grand Prize
At the end of the month, all adventurers who’ve completed the hunts get the chance to tackle a final grand challenge. Crack it, and they’ll be entered for the monthly prize worth £100 — a real achievement they can be proud of.

Why Treasure Hunts Work

  • 🔍 Problem-solving: Children learn to think critically and connect clues.

  • 🤝 Teamwork: siblings, Friends, and even parents can join in.

  • 💡 Persistence: Rewards come from building up small steps over the week.

  • 🎉 Excitement: Every Friday feels like the climax of an adventure.

These hunts are not just about winning prizes — they’re about growing skills, building confidence, and having fun together as a family.

Learn, Play & Grow

The Children’s Interactive Diary (CID) is built to feel like play — but beneath the fun, every page is helping children learn and grow.

✨ Writing skills – The daily “Dear Diary” section encourages free expression, reflection, and storytelling. Over time, children gain confidence in putting their thoughts into words.

🧩 Problem-solving – Crosswords, riddles, logic puzzles, and maths challenges stretch their minds and keep them sharp, turning tricky thinking into a game.

🎨 Creativity – Colouring sheets, drawing prompts, and imagination-based activities give children the freedom to explore ideas visually and invent their own stories.

🌍 Knowledge – Each month has fascinating themes — from the solar system to ancient history — brought to life with bite-sized facts, short videos, and interactive content.

💡 Life skills – Gentle guidance from the CID mascots helps children practise persistence, teamwork, curiosity, and self-reflection in a safe, structured way.

Win Prizes Safely

Competitions are a big part of what makes CID exciting — but we know that for parents, safety and fairness come first. That’s why every prize draw and giveaway is run with full transparency and in line with UK competition and prize draw regulations.

  • Parent-only entries: Children never enter themselves into competitions. Only parents or guardians can submit answers or entries, keeping young users’ details completely private.

  • Data protection: We never sell, share, or misuse your information. All entries are handled securely and are only used to verify prize winners.

  • Fairness guaranteed: Winners are chosen at random or through clear judging criteria, depending on the competition. Results are announced transparently, so parents can trust the process.

  • Age-appropriate rewards: Weekly cash prizes (£100) are awarded safely to parents/guardians, ensuring children enjoy the fun without handling money directly.

  • School prizes: Larger physical items or educational rewards for schools are always arranged directly with the school, following legal guidelines. These prizes are intended to support learning and enrich children’s education — from books and resources to creative equipment.

  • Regulation compliance: Every draw or prize competition follows UK law, including the Gambling Act 2005 and guidance on free-to-enter prize draws. This means parents and schools can be confident that CID is not only fun, but fully compliant.

In short: your child gets the thrill of solving puzzles and joining hunts, while you get peace of mind knowing every prize — whether money, vouchers, or school resources — is awarded fairly, responsibly, and legally.

Our Promise

We believe children deserve more than worksheets or endless scrolling. They deserve colour, curiosity, and connection.

The Children’s Interactive Diary (CID) is built to inspire children every single day — with activities that feel like play, stories that spark imagination, and challenges that reward effort.

For parents, it’s a way to know your child is exploring safely, learning with purpose, and building life skills that will last.

This isn’t just a diary. It’s an adventure your child can step into every day — with you supporting them, and with us guiding the way.
